The Federal Government on Monday reported a boycott in the importation of sim cards into the country.
The country's Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami unveiled this on Monday in Lagos at the Nigerian Telecommunications Indigenous Content Expo (NTICE) coordinated by the Nigeria Office for Developing Indigenous Telecoms Sector (NODITS) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The priest clarified that the public authority would never again endure the importation of sim card into the country
Pantami expressed that the country was presently delivering sim cards locally.
As per him, the point of the nation was to increment native substance in the ICT area with the goal that by 2025, the country would be confident by somewhere around 80%.
